Privacy Policy
Effective November 6, 2026
This policy explains what HazardAlert.com (“HazardAlert”, “we”) collects when you use hazardalert.com and our alert service, and how we use it.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, company, work email and mobile number, for you and for each person you add to an account.
- Property details: the addresses you ask us to watch and the property type you enter.
- Alert settings: which alerts each person wants, how they want to hear (text, email or phone call) and when.
- Billing details, handled by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
- Basic technical data when you visit the site, such as browser type and pages viewed.
How we use it
- To match official hazard alerts to your addresses and send them to the people you name.
- To send the daily forecast and other messages each person has chosen.
- To run your account, bill you, answer support requests and keep the service secure.
- To tell you about changes to the service. You can opt out of non-essential email at any time.
Text messages and mobile numbers
We use mobile numbers only to send the alerts and messages each person has agreed to receive. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except the service providers that deliver our messages.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run the service (text, email and phone delivery, hosting, payments, address checking), under contracts that limit their use of it, and when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open and for 90 days after it closes, unless the law requires longer. Alert history for your properties is kept for 3 years.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure.
Your choices
You can view, change or delete the people, addresses and alert settings on your account, or ask us to do it. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts to that number. To ask about the information we hold, email [email protected].
Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell account holders of any material change.
