Text Message Terms
Effective November 6, 2026
The program
HazardAlert Alerts sends hazard alerts, storm warnings and daily forecasts for the properties on your account to the mobile numbers that have agreed to receive them. HazardAlert.com runs the program.
How often
Message frequency varies with the weather and the alerts each person has chosen. During active storms you may receive several messages in a day.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
Stopping and help
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts at that number. You’ll get one message confirming it. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].
Delivery
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text messages can be delayed or fail to arrive for reasons outside our control, including network problems and the phone being off or out of range.
Not an emergency service
HazardAlert is another way to stay informed. It does not replace official emergency warnings. Keep official emergency alerts turned on and follow directions from local authorities. Some events come with little or no warning.
Privacy
See our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
